What is the process to take the admission in navodaya school .
As we discussed above that navodaya vidyalaya are residential schools which provide the environment of both school and home. Students coming from the rural area specially from the weaker section of society want to take the admission in these schools, taking admission in navodaya schools has always been a dream of rural area students not only because of they have facility of residence but also unsure quality of education. Since these institutions provide the quality of education every parent want their child to get unrolled in the the school. Now the schools have established some norms to be part of their family and that is entrance exam. So students want to join the Navodaya schools have to go through the entrance examination conducted by navodaya vidyalaya samiti. This examination is conducted annually for new session and level of examination varies from class to class spouse if any student want to take the admission in 6th class then his entrance paper to be designed according to the syllabus of 6th standard, and if student want to take admission in another class there is syllabus of the entrance paper to be decided according to his class or standard. Students who clear the entrance exam are invited by the nodas vidyalaya samiti administration to join the classes and both fees and residential expenses are beard by the government with the minimum deposit from family.

Jawahar navodaya vidyalaya selection test of class 6th for in 2024- 2025 was conducted on 4th November 2023 in hilly areas and on 20 January 2024 in other states. Approximately 20,00,000 plus students sit in this exam to get enrolled in navodaya school. Application form for this exam were taken from 19- 06-to 25- 08- 2023. admit card release about 2 weeks before the examination and result was declared on 31- 03- 2024.
Application fees are charged ₹0 for all categories including General other backward classes Economically weaker section schedule cast and schedule tribe physically handicapped and all female categories.
Age criteria of 6th class student for jawahar navodaya vidyalaya for 2014- 2015 session.
A candidate seeking admission in 6th class standard in Navodya school must not have born before 01/05/2012 and after 31/07/2014.

Application to take the admission in navodaya schools in 9th class were taken from 2nd September 2022 to 15th October 2022. Admit card was released on 4th February 2023. Examination was conducted on 11th February 2023 and final result is issued on 31st March 2024
